Yes, am familiar with the process, as are a few others who are interested in working on it.
You don't have to do anything. Just give us the means of fixing the place up the way we need it, and we'll do all the work. Hell, all things considered it'll keep us busy and we could use the distraction.

Not quite.
[He takes a moment to run this information through the machinery of his mind. None of it is particularly surprising, or especially illuminating.]
I can understand why you would refuse to close it, or tell us where it's located - it's in your interest to keep us here, because our emotions give you power. But do you have any control over who is brought here? You say the Door draws on chaos and disorder, but is that the only setting it has? Can it be modified?
I've been here long enough to observe that it also sends people back, as well as brings them here again. Are you responsible for how that works as well, or is it completely left to random chance?
I'm also curious how the Door operates, the mechanics of it. Is it technology? Magic? Some combination of both?

[Two--the alien's one intact mandible flares in surprise. He hadn't been expecting any sort of generosity, and while a part of him knows this is probably an attempt on Sorrow's part to either win him over or leave him indebted, he can't help but feel a little bit hopeful at this news. He knows it will mean a lot to Carlisle, and that's what matters most. He can put himself on the line if it means a chance to make his partner happy and make up for some of the loss he's had to endure in this cave.
It's also enough that Glacius finally manages to swallow down the worst of his grievances with this particular deity, at least for the time being, and extend an olive branch.] ... Thank you. I... do appreciate this. I will be by to collect them when every bit of paint has been scoured from your temple.

[This comes as both a surprise and a relief, despite it being Sorrow.]
...Thank you.
Will send you a list of things. Everything else after that, we can handle on our own.

guess i'd better do my best not to slip up, huh?
we gotta deal?
[He ain't gonna mention that the flowers seemed to grow like wildfire on their own Underground. Chances are those consequences ain't an accidental thing, but likely a deliberate action on the god's part.
Visual gags only it is, then.]

[ It only occurs to Rose a couple days after Faith has left that there's something she could carry on in her honor. Her visit to Sorrow's temple, which elicits the emotion in her she's been trying to swallow down, is not a pleasant one. She cries for the first time since she'd realized Faith was gone. It surprises even her just how easily it happens as she walks through the threshold of the temple even though she'd been on the verge of tears for practically three days now.
It's interesting, in a way, to have a place that provide the catharsis of a good cry that she'd been denying for wanting to put on a brave face in the absence of Faith's presence. Anyway. That's not actually why she's here. Rose is here to place a candle - a simple, deep purple one - in place of the last one Faith had left that has since burned out. ]
For you, dude, [ she says, after hard sniffle, even though she doesn't expect him to respond. ] S'what she would've wanted, I think.
[ She'll watch the candle once it's lit for a few moments to make sure it stays burning before turning to take her leave. In a few days, another one will replace it. This is a 'tradition' she's steadfast in carrying on. ]

well uhm
i was surprised to find out the Door was moving with us
when uh it became evident we were moving, that is
is it magically tied to the city somehow?
the idea of a portal where one end is limitless and the other is structured is very fascinating even if its an incredibly hard mechanic to understand but it does always seem to pop out in the same spot in the city
but it isn't there full time???
sorry maybe i wrote to much
#1: does the portal get moved manually or is it magically tied to us so it just follows when the city moves
#2: does the door go somewhere else when its not in use? or is it hidden?
