Mr. Sorrow,
I'm the one who was inquiring about additional plants for your orchard for the purposes of alchemy. I am sending you some notes and illustrations that will hopefully convey what these plants are supposed to look like.
[And if some of the specifics are wrong, well... alchemical mishaps are a thing he's prepared for.
Attached is plants.jpg, which includes several scientific-style figures for fanged ivy, glassweed, frostlace, bloodwort, paw plants, and coiler. Each illustration has a cutaway detailing the inside textures and colors of the leaves, bark, roots, and even the fruits a few of them bear, as well as the approximate taste of most of them. There's even a few uses listed for each one. Did you know the leaves of frostlace can be used to chill a drink? Carlisle knew. Probably helps that he was quite the accomplished gardener back home.
But not alchemist, unfortunately.]
I hope that is sufficient. It has been some time since I've been home, but I kept quite a busy garden.

What if the plants aren't quite right and there need to be alterations? Am I going to have to destroy something else?
[It's a few days before he responds again. He's been deciding what to destroy, and if it's really worth it for a few saplings that might not even live. He is a competent gardener, but what if this Sorrow fellow isn't a competent conjurer?
But he finally does decide to go along with it. When Carlisle finally does answer, he sends back two pictures. The first is of an elaborate ink pen, one made of silver and bone. Etched into the body is intricate filigree, and the initials K. L. are inscribed in a silver band on the cap.
The second picture is that same pen, so dented and broken that it's nearly unrecognizable. The bone inlaid in it is shattered, the body fragmented, the silver band completely missing. That picture comes along with a text:]
It's done. That better be enough.

You have my gratitude.
[And he's going to take those plants and keep them where he can watch them, because like hell is he letting anyone mess up his plants.]

[ It's taken her a lot to make the call, a lot of internal debate about how she feels about the gods and the likelihood that any individual interaction with them will come back to bite her in the ass. All the same, Cecily does what she hopes is leave a message for Sorrow, one in which her voice is tempered by barely-contained suspicion. ]
Can you bring a specific plant to the orchard? It isn't a fruit, exactly, and... frankly, it'd be better in a garden, but I think it'll help us a lot.
[ Not that he would care about that, so she adds: ] It may stop Hope having to bring back as many dead people.
[ Nailed it. ]

There are some others from Thedas, we could manage it.
[ She isn't an artist, but between herself, Cullen, Leliana, and Cole, maybe--
Ah, fuck. Of course there's a price (there's always a price). ]
What would the payment be? [ Comes the incredibly wary question. ]

heya. you seem to be the go-to guy for plants around here.
i got the botanical description of a flower from home that i think might interest ya. called an "echo flower," and it does exactly what it sounds like it does. think you might be interested in reproducin' it on a small or large scale?
[As for payment...well, Sans doesn't have a big enough ego to assume his numerous perceived betrayals would be enough to generate whatever emotional capital he needs as leverage. But he doubts it'll require a lot of effort on his part to fulfill that requirement.]
