[Mello has avoided approaching Sorrow directly until now, mostly because he doesn't need any additional influence from the god's namesake emotion - he remembers what Sorrow's resurrection felt like, after all. But it has become apparent that Sorrow is the one who holds the most knowledge about what Mello wants to know, and he has to at least try to get an answer.]
I understand you don't particularly care about helping those of us who have been brought here, but I wanted to ask if you would be willing to make an exchange for information. I'm told you're the one who knows the most about the Door.

[ Pride flag for Sorrow's temple, got it. ]
That makes it even easier, cool.
Keep your eyes peeled then for a colorful surprise coming your way.

[He knows he could probably fire off a text to this god, but Danse has always preferred face-to-face conversations. Text-based communication was convenient, but direct conversations just felt more genuine and sincere to him.
Even if this is to the one god that would hurt the most, he's not going to let an emotion control his actions.
Still, as much as he had braced himself when he stepped through the door, nothing could really prepare himself for the quiet sorrow that gently washes over his soul. Living in Tranquility's temple has helped to keep away that all-consuming sadness that has rooted in his heart, and the after-effects of staying there for a few days are strong enough that he doesn't feel distraught enough to just walk right back out.
Standing at the doorway, he clears his throat and calls out quietly.]
I'd like to speak with you, Sorrow. I have a question and a request.

Now this makes her hesitate. Faith stands just outside the temple for a good five minutes before she walks in. Guilt's been on her mind since the mess with the doubles started, so the atmosphere in the temple brings tears to her eyes right away.
Still, she heads for the altar, where she sets down a candle shaped like a dog with a severed leg in its mouth. (It's sad, okay? What if the leg belonged to its master or something? Figuratively, of course. It's only a candle.) It's a poor offering in and of itself, but the candle isn't the point so much as the apology it represents, the remorse and the sadness over what part of her did to the god she'd begun to feel such a connection to. She wouldn't blame him if he struck her down or somethibg right now either. It might not have been her, but she was the double's source.
None of that much matters, though, so Faith sighs shakily and pinches the wick to light it with her power. The same fire that damaged the temple now lights it a little. She prefers it that way, controlled and gentle, warm and bright.
"Sorry," she murmurs, sniffling, and she stands there for about a minute, letting the sadness build in her, for his sake. If there's no response (and she's not expecting one), she leaves, wiping tears out of her eyes as she goes.

[He had expected something like that; Tranquillity had materialised out of thin air too. Danse nods at the invitation and properly enters the temple to approach Sorrow.]
I heard that you're the god that brought back the orchard, so I thought you'd be the one to ask about plants. I'd like to plant some of the fruit and vegetables from my world as an alternate source of food. I happened to have some samples with me when the Door brought me here, so getting the seeds isn't a problem. But I'm not certain if the environment here can support alien fauna.

[Like nearly everyone else who has reached out to Sorrow before, Glacius has a good long internal battle with himself as he considers reaching out to the self-proclaimed god. The thought of having to come to one of his captors and tormentors for anything rankles deeply in his hearts... and he finds it extremely hard to believe that allowing himself to become indebted to one of the beings responsible for his suffering will not have consequences at some point. But allowing his personal grievances to get in the way of his partner reclaiming some of the happiness that he once had in this city is simply not an option for the ice alien. Whatever this ends up leading to, he can bear it so long as it means he's made things better for the people he cares about.
So Glacius ultimately caves and contacts Sorrow. He's not even entirely sure that the strange being will tolerate this conversation, given how often he's spoken out against him and the other gods. He can only hope that this one will be amused enough at the prospect of the once-proud warrior bowing his head long enough to ask him for something to entertain his request. The alien had spurned the god's blessing once before, after all; the irony that he now has to reach out to him out of all the others is not lost on the otherworldly being.]
Sorrow. I... have a request. It is for the good of my friend, and for this city as a whole. [Because that was how Carlisle used the plants: to create brews and remedies not only for himself, but for others, made of his own hard work.] I know you provided the plants for a garden that was kept here. I wish to request the same, albeit one of a different species now, even though I am not of that world. Is this something that is in your power to do? [That word choice is specific--he's hoping Sorrow has a sense of pride that he can appeal to. The implication being that if he truly is a god, then nothing should be beyond his capabilities... right?] I can provide plenty of information and illustrations to aid in their recreation, if it is required.

[If Glacius is bothered by the wait, his tone doesn't give any indication of it--a naturally reserved being, he can sometimes seem just as impassive as Sorrow. His response, however, suggests something more, hints at the caring hearts that beat within his icy, armor-coated chest.]
They can sustain us, yes, but a number of the plants used for healing and remedies have recently been lost to us... and this loss has hurt someone close to me. I wish to try and soothe that... they did not deserve that suffering. [Not that he expects the aptly-named god will care so much about that--or any of this, really, but he has to try... hopefully without giving too much information away. He can endure being hurt, but the last thing he wants is Sorrow targeting Carlisle in an attempt to wring some sadness out of him.]

Oh. I could get you another?
[If you don't mind her crying some mo-- wait. Is that the point.
...he deserves it, she thinks.]

I'll plant a couple of seeds and observe their growth. If there are any complications, I'll submit a formal request for more suitable soil. For now, there is something else I'd like to ask of you.
[Deep breath. Keep calm. Try not to think about this sadness, this sorrow that he's clamped down on, unwilling to allow it an outlet. But being in Sorrow's temple has started to spread cracks across the vault door, and it's all starting to leak out.]
Where I come from, all plants have been contaminated with radiation due to a war over 200 years ago. I'm not sure if you and your kind know what radiation is but to summarize, it can be poisonous to the human body even in small doses.
The immediate effects of consuming the average irradiated fruit is not noticeable, but build up over time can lead to radiation poisoning. Preliminary symptoms are minor and include nausea, vomiting, fever, fatigue, headaches and reddening skin, but prolonged exposure would cause a series of severe illnesses that inevitably lead to death.
If you're able, I would like to request a removal of radiation from the samples I brought with me from the Commonwealth.

Roughly speaking? Yes.
If you're capable of performing that task, then we can discuss payment.
[Keep things professional. Neutral. He doesn't have to like this god to carry out a fair barter, and the sooner they settle the deal the quicker he can get out of here.]

[Hey now, Glacius is also equally unimpressed with the constant bickering and infighting of the humans and other inhabitants of this cave. If Sorrow wants to take it up with the wretch that did this, that is more than okay with him.]
It is a plant from the same world, but the one I am seeking will be of a different species--a highly sought after one. As I said, I can provide abundant information and reference to aid in its recreation, and as for payment...
[The alien sighs, hanging his head briefly.] ... I realize this is asking a lot, so request whatever you will of me. All I ask is that you do not require me to harm or cause sadness in another.
