More so than you might imagine, given the machinery and technology involved. Moreover, it was to be the first step. Many boys dream of becoming astronauts. I have directly disobeyed my father in only two things: the first, that I did not grow out of it. In almost every regard, I was fully or vastly overqualified.

Your point is well-taken. We do have a response team, yet even if it were more powerful, you must allow time to deal with immense exigencies as are dragons. While I agree a system should be implemented (I admit I am disinclined to take on every custodial task that is wanting), it would not solve the problems of disquieting items or initial wrong hands, some of whom would choose to be difficult and not utilize the system. I acknowledge that is our failing, but again, not one we initiated. None of which addresses the possibility of being expelled into fatal environments.

Unless he texts you at every hour of every day, I am not sure you would notice the difference.

The eye exam. There were odd results. After further tests, I was diagnosed with an illness. Men with degenerative illnesses neither fly nor go any further. [ Nor, when another sort of piloting is needed, the Jaegers, that. ]

As for my father -- we would not use the term 'creator' -- that is another conversation, and one likely to produce more rage than sorrow.

Thank you, then. Even if you know what I'd rather you be doing.

I do not assume you have all that power. You need the Door to bring people in, don't you? It doesn't seem as though you could do it on your own. That's another point of similarity, arguably: your people also use tools to compensate for deficiencies. I understand that may be a simplification. Regardless, this is a different sort of adaptation, and I have notified Mr. Hope of my concerns.
