[Rey stares at his message for a good long moment. An answer forms, but she can't bring herself to type them out. Not because of any moral quandaries, but paranoia.
[Not long after that last message is sent, Rey makes her way to Sorrow's temple herself; her presence made even more timely by the aid of a moped. They're not all that fast, but they beat a brisk walk down the roads here.
[She enters the temple, arms folded over her chest as she looks up at the structure. Sorrow isn't here, but she has a feeling that he might be able to hear her:]
You might be aware of this already, but your network is no longer secure from your enemies. If they can do that, they might have access to your private lines as well.
[Even if they don't, and the gods are confident of the contrary, it never hurts to be cautious. It's saved her and many like her on a number of occasions, after all.]

It's difficult to admit that he's still not entirely sure of what the Null are capable of, particularly when it comes to technology and their own cobbled-together version of it.]
But my point still remains- Rage isn't here to supply the armory.

The Null are offering to supply us with weapons. Of course, they also want us to use them to kill Hope, but was wondering if they could be of any use to you. Maybe you could study them, figure out how to manufacture something better to fight them with.
[It's an... interesting thought, and Sorrow purses his lips for a moment.]
I can't see what use we'd have for them. They're tailored to kill us- they'd likely have little effect if reversed on the Null, and we lack the technology to reverse engineer and figure out how to protect ourselves from them.
You're aware that we're technically energy beings, correct?

Our forms here aren't physical. It's possible that these weapons could kill you as well, but likely for different reasons. As for the Null themselves... doubtful, though I don't know enough about them to be sure.
Have studied synthetic beings of various types. Some with organic components, as well as mostly mechanical. The more we know about what they are, the most possible it might be to figure out their weaknesses.
That's good to know. Even the smallest info can be helpful in figuring out how to do this, because it's obvious that you guys can't keep running forever.
It should be easier to accept after our close shave with the Null after Love came back.
Come to think of it... Can't help but wonder if that might have something to do with how they'd been able to track you guys. Seems strange that it'd take this long for them to have gotten that close. [That they know of.]

They can locate us by our energy signature, but it's imprecise- not with the speed that they found us with when the city was split. It seems likely that there are other factors at play.

Short of staging an assault that's doomed to fail, we cannot test your fighting capabilities against their forces. When the opportunity arises- maybe- but so far, there hasn't been one.
Back home we have these things called simulations. Sometimes they can be conducted through virtual reality, through a computer. But they can also be done through a staged exercise...
If you'd be willing, maybe some of you guys could somehow replicate a scenario based on your experience with your enemy. It'd give people a better chance at knowing what they are dealing with, and how to prepare.
